Sometimes your strategy is just handed to you on a plate. Last game I played (and my highest score) I started with two tiles allowing an advance down track 3, and then was almost immediately able to buy a building allowing an advance down track 3, i.e. to its end. I then bought another ten or so buildings (mixed in with advancing down track 2 to its end point).
