I've tried to assemble the board with the hints given on that homepage, but it really doesn't work smoothly. Can anyone tell me how to best disassemble the gears to try it again?
The gears can be removed from the board even after the stickers were applied - bend a gear a bit so you can put a dining knife between the gear and cardboard, slide the knife as close to the fastener as possible and gently pry. The closer you get the knife to the fastener the easier it would be. Try to apply a bit harder pressure if necessary but keep in mind it's better to pry against the gear than against the cardboard as the plastics is very solid.
During Wednesday at Essen we were able to simply pry the gears with stickers over them with our bare hands, the gears quite bended during the procedure but as proven with demo copies, they withstanded with no permanent damage at all. Also the fasteners can be unplugged several times without losing the ability to hold together.
Anyway if you happen to damage any components during procedure please contact us through our website contact (at www.czechgames.com), we will send you replacement parts for free.
And again please accept our apologies for this unfortunate issue, not many game copies were affected but we recommend to follow the steps in the above mentioned links anyway.
And lastly let us ensure that all this affected only some of Essen games. We're working out a solution with the factory so all the games that will get to distribution past Essen will be perfectly OK.

Thanks Filip,
I've managed to disassemble the gears and widened the wholes some more. I think it works okay (not great) right now. It still gets stuck sometimes, but not everytime as before. I then have to push with a bit more force to loose it, and one time this caused some of the workers to fall of the gears. Luckily, this was not during an actual game but during my rules explanation. I'm probably going to play the game for the first time today and will see if it works in practice or if it really still is an issue.
