I'm baffled how it would. I love the fact that people come here to express their initial reactions to new games. That is the only way we get feedback before they start to arrive in stores. Why does it hurt you if he expresses an opinion that you don't agree with, or even one that he might change later? We're all adults here. We know he's only played it once, we are perfectly capable of giving it exactly as much deference as it deserves. But some of us like hearing what people think, and would rather not have them shouted down.
I agree partially. I like a lot to read things about new games, even when these opinions come from people who only played such games once or twice, but on the other hand I have learnt through the years that first impressions are oftenly not very accurate and that I ended up loving games that I disliked in my first plays. Thus I take this first game reviews with a caveat. But I am fine with them, nothing wrong about it.
Also, it is true that we use to be way more critic about negative reviews than positive ones.

Ah, but his opinion of the wine's quality is likely to improve a fair bit after he has tried at least one or two whole bottles worth instead of just sampling.
