That's why this sort of criticism really bothers me. The OP (and me, for that matter) may not have played the game enough to "really understand" it - but we have played the game enough to make an informed decision about whether we want to play it more. That is a legitimate position! Telling us that playing it a hundred times will make us like it doesn't obviate the fact that we won't necessarily enjoy those hundred games. You don't have to "really understand" a game to decide whether you would rather play something else.

Reviews are to help people make up their mind about a game. Only in a critical review like this one are you going to find out if the game is for you. Point is, people trying to decide if they like this game aren't always going to decide to buy it based on what it's like after 50 plays.


This same principal can be said for board games.
